Angel Food Ministries Delivering Relief to Unemployed and Struggling in Wakulla Due To Gulf Oil Disaster

Angel Food Ministries (www.angelfoodministries.com), an organization dedicated to providing affordable, high-quality food to those in need, is helping families, workers, women and children in Panacea, Florida, effected by the loss of work for the fisherman and business due to the Gulf oil disaster.

A tractor trailer giving a helping hand with over 7,000 pounds of free food will roll up to Cornerstone Ministries in Crawfordville, Florida and distribute the food with the help of volunteers from  local organizations and BP Community Outreach to help put it into the hands of those in need.

Jeff Christian, Angel Food Minister of Outreach for North Florida, said, ” In Wakulla county there is such a great need from the displaced fisherman and their families affected by the recent oil spill, we are honored to be providing some relief for them.”

“We know that people are hurting. The economy is suffering and people who rely on the Gulf for industry are hurting even more. We all must do what we can to help,” said Pastor Joe Wingo, Angel Food CEO.

WHAT:  Food for the hungry donated from Angel Food Ministries will be distributed through several nonprofit organizations including Radical Restoration, Ronald McDonald House in Tallahassee, Crawfordville First Baptist Church, O’Bay United Methodist Church, Cornerstone Ministries, Harvest Fellowship, Promiseland Ministries and the Wakulla County Fisherman’s Association.
